This small paradise, nestled in nature and built with lots of love, is an isolated, self-sufficient, and eco-friendly retreat located in the heart of the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees. It is surrounded by mountains and forest as far as the eye can see.

Here, you'll wake up to epic sunrises and end your day with spectacular sunsets and breathtaking starry skies. It's a place to connect, to exchange, and to experience a unique immersion in nature and respect for the environment.

This retreat was born out of a desire to live more consciously and harmoniously with our surroundings and the planet. We believe that nature has a lot to teach us, and we feel a deep desire to connect with it and its cycles, to be more aware of what we eat and where our food comes from, and to be amazed by simple things like a sunset or a starry sky.

At this retreat, we want to share our way of life, connect with people from all over the world, and offer and exchange authentic experiences in a unique place that respects the environment and generates minimal impact. We also aim to be an active part of the region, consuming and valuing local products and the natural and cultural heritage of the area.

By car: Casa el Pui is located in a remote place so we recommend coming by car.

We are located 15 minutes from Coll de Nargó. You can reach us by car from Coll de Nargó via a well-maintained dirt road.

When you arrive in the village of Coll de Nargó, take the road towards Montanisell, which begins just after the school and the dinosaur museum. After about 500 meters of paved road, continue on the dirt track. After approximately 3 kilometers, you will find a turn-off to the left with a sign for Casa el Pui. Take this turn-off and continue for 800 meters until you reach the house.

About The Host
Ana & Alexander

Ana & Alexander

We are Gala, Ana, and Alex, a small Catalan-German family adopted by this beautiful region of l’Alt Urgell since 2020. In another life, we lived in big cities across various continents and dreamed of being where we are now. We arrived here in 2020 and have spent nearly three years working on the rehabilitation project of the house, always striving for sustainability and energy efficiency.

About us:

  • We speak: German, Catalan, Spanish, and English.
  • We use solar panels to generate electricity, a wood boiler to heat the house, and river and rainwater for consumption and hygiene. This choice implies that the energy use of the house must be conscious and efficient.
  • Casa el Pui has been renovated with renewable and ecological materials, such as wood, recycled cotton as thermal insulation, and hydraulic lime to coat the walls.
  • We collaborate with neighbors and local communities.

Special charms of our house:

  • We preserve the authentic building materials of the house.
  • You will experience authentic rural life surrounded by wildlife, fresh air, and local products.
  • We offer many unforgettable experiences for groups: climbing, yoga, hiking.
