Enjoy the privileged location of this house, perfect for those looking to immerse themselves in wild nature and take in the spectacular landscapes of the Pyrenees. The village of Puyarruego serves as the gateway to the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park, a unique area to explore.

Today, the residents of Puyarruego are primarily engaged in livestock farming and rural tourism, the foundation of the local economy, aimed at helping visitors experience the natural beauty and rich cultural heritage of the area.

The house, though newly built, respects the traditional architecture of the Pyrenees, giving it a rustic and warm character. It is divided into three units, one of which is for the owners' use. The two units dedicated to rural tourism are identical in space and layout but feature unique decorative touches. Each is rented in its entirety and can accommodate up to six people.

Sustainability and respect for nature are at the heart of this accommodation. The house incorporates eco-friendly practices such as responsible waste management, energy efficiency with solar panels, and eco-friendly heating systems. Local materials were used in the construction to blend harmoniously with the surroundings. Guests are welcomed with a selection of regional products, including homemade jams and bread, fostering support for local artisans. The gardens are designed to encourage biodiversity, and efforts to protect wildlife include birdhouses and feeders, enhancing the connection with nature and promoting a serene, environmentally mindful stay.

About The Host

Tere and Sergio

We are Tere and Sergio, and we opened our home to rural tourists in 2007. Our house is newly built that we crafted with a lot of love and care. Alongside the two rural tourism accommodations, we also created our own home within the same building.

Although the house is recently built, we made sure to respect the traditional style of the Pyrenees and crafted it with a lot of love and care. Alongside the two rural tourism accommodations, we also created our own home within the same building.

We truly want our guests to feel as though they’re at home here, enjoying a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We put great effort into making sure the house and the surrounding environment are well-cared-for and ready to be enjoyed by our guests. It’s a place where we also take great pleasure in living, and we’re excited to share it with others who appreciate the beauty and tranquility of the area.

About us:

  • We speak: Spanish, English and French
  • We live in the same building as our guests (in a separate unit) and are always happy to help and give you tips and advice on what to see and do around
  • We are committed to sustainability, for example with responsible waste management, energy efficiency with solar panels and eco-friendly heating, and the use of local materials in construction
  • We also promote local trade by offering regional products, such as homemade jams and bread, in our welcome pack to our guests, and support local wildlife conservation with birdhouses and feeders.

Special charms about our home:

  • Although the house is quite recent, we have kept the traditional Pyrenean style
  • Our home is a perfect base for nature lovers to enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities and the incredible landscapes
  • This is a family-friendly haven; our spacious garden with swings and nearby family activities make our home ideal for families to enjoy the Pyrenees together.
