Welcome to Casa Rural Ca’Chispita, a single-story Canarian cottage nestled in the serene Protected Natural Area of Pino Santo. With 3 cozy bedrooms, 1 bathroom and an exterior toilet, and space for up to 6 guests, this restored early 20th-century house blends authentic rural charm with modern comfort.

Surrounded by 2,400 m² of lush, fenced gardens and fruit trees, the property features a private heated pool, a barbecue area, and free parking. Just 33 minutes from the airport and 24 minutes from Las Palmas, it’s the perfect retreat to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature.

Hikers and cyclists will love the surrounding trails and unique geological wonders, making Ca’Chispita a peaceful haven for relaxation and adventure.

House rules:

General

  • Standard check-in and check-out at 15:00. Ask the hosts for flexible check-in and check-out times if needed.
  • Standard minimum stay is 5 nights.
  • The house and property have a maximum capacity of 6 people. Unauthorised use or stays will result in eviction without a refund.
  • Parties and other activities that could disturb the neighbourhood are not allowed.

Pets

  • Inform the hosts if you are bringing a pet with you.
  • Pets can enter the house only accompanied and can't be left inside without supervision.
  • Do not allow pets in the bedroom, on sofas (including exterior ones) and in the pool.
  • We recommend that you bring your pet's own bed.
  • Any damage is the responsibility of the pet owner.

Environment

  • Only light fires in the designated barbecue area, following safety measures and respecting any official restrictions.
  • Keep the garden clean and free of litter and respect the plants.
  • Use energy and water responsibly. Turn off unused lights and moderate heating and fireplace use.
  • Dispose of waste, glass, and paper in the bins in La Milagrosa or the container 50m above the house. Do not leave rubbish in the house.
  • Avoid pouring oils, plastics, or food waste down drains. Use the recycling tin under the sink for cooking oil.
  • Protect and respect the environment so everyone can enjoy it.

What will I eat?

You will have a fully equipped kitchen at your disposal, as well as a barbecue to enjoy your meals indoors or outdoors. There are food markets and supermarkets nearby for you to do your grocery shopping, as well as bars and restaurants if you prefer not to cook yourself. The hosts are happy to recommend their favourite spots to you. Below are a few examples:

  • Mercado agrícola de Sant Lorenzo. A unique food market with 26 stalls offering agricultural products directly from the producers, including cheeses, fruits, vegetables, bread, pastries. Open on Sundays from 8:00 to 13:30. 11 minute drive from the house.
  • Mercadillo de Santa Brígida. Traditional and organic agriculture: fruits, vegetables, produce, flowers, local bread and pastries, honey, wines, crafts, and cheeses. Open on Fridays from 14:00 to 20:00; Saturdays from 8:00 to 20:00; and Sundays from 8:00 to 14:00. 20 minute drive from the house.
  • Bar Restaurante La Milagrosa. Authentic homemade cooking with house specialties: tortilla, tender pork, creamy potatoes with cheese and mojo, and hearty chickpea stew. 5 minute drive from the house.
Will I be bored?

Not a chance! There are lot of activities available to do within the property and outdoors.

For quiet relaxing time, the living room with its fireplace is a cosy nook to do some reading. We also have a collection of board games for both children and adults to spend time with your companions.

For outdoor activities, there are tons of options nearby:

  • Hiking: The house is perfectly situated for hiking enthusiasts. The area boasts protected natural surroundings with a number of stunning trails, for example routes to Santa Brígida, Teror, and Osorio.
  • Aquatic activities: Head out to the beach about 25 minute drive away for some windsurfing, snorkeling or scuba diving - or just enjoy the beach!
  • Horse riding: Approximately 25 minutes away is the San Mateo Equestrian Centre, where you can immerse yourself in nature with horses. Options include guided excursions, horse rides, riding lessons, therapeutic riding (equine therapy), and horse boarding.
  • Mushroom foraging: For those who enjoy mushroom picking, the area offers excellent spots nearby. Autumn is the best season to find and savour fresh mushrooms.
  • Golf: Play a round of golf at courses in the surrounding area (16 km from the house), enjoying the island’s natural beauty as a backdrop.
  • Mountain biking: Explore the scenic landscapes by bike, with trails suitable for all levels of mountain biking enthusiasts.

If you long for a more cultural experience, there are many interesting sites to visit in the area, for example:

  • La Basílica de la Virgen del Pino: A beautiful basilica with historical and spiritual significance.
  • Casa Museo del Vino: Discover the region’s rich winemaking heritage in this charming museum.
  • Perez Galdos House Museum: Dive into the life and work of one of Spain’s most celebrated authors.
  • Casa Museo de Colón: Explore the fascinating history of Christopher Columbus and his connection to the Canary Islands.
  • Parque Romano: A green oasis in the city, perfect for walking, jogging, or a family picnic.

This house is a wonderful place for children to enjoy and explore, offering a mix of activities to suit every kind of adventure:

    • Zona Recreativa El Troncón (16 km from the house): A scenic recreational area ideal for picnics and outdoor games.
How will I arrive?

By car: Our house is located in a remote place, so a car is needed. The closest bus station is 2km (about 20-30 minutes walking distance) away, in the village of La Milagrosa.

Is it possible to work online?

Yes, the house is equipped with Wi-Fi (300Mb).
